My creative journey took off after graduating from Philadelphia College of Art with a move to Los Angeles. I was fortunate to join Pacific Eye and Ear (PE&E), a prestigious graphic design and advertising agency celebrated for its iconic album packaging and marketing campaigns for legendary artists such as Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Cheech and Chong, Luther Vandross, and George Carlin.
This experience led to my next chapter: co-founding David Hale Associates with one of PE&E’s partners. Together, we developed marketing campaigns for industry leaders including Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers, Panavision, and NGK Spark Plugs.
As the industry shifted toward digital design, I embraced the opportunity to evolve. I transitioned into full-time freelance work as a digital graphic designer, operating from my home studio. This allowed me to diversify my portfolio significantly—creating entertainment campaigns for 20th Century Fox and MGM, supporting meaningful causes through work with The Elton John AIDS Foundation, The American Red Cross, and The Climate Leadership Conference, and contributing to political campaigns via The Strategy Group for clients including Obama/Biden, Jerry Brown, and John A. Pérez. I’ve also developed creative strategies for organizations such as Solec Solar, USC Annenberg School of Communications, and The White House.
